Again we pack up and hitch up and off we go. We decided that instead of trying to drive 7 hours straight, we would break it up. Our route today is north on Interstate 29 and then west on Interstate 90. The wind has subsided a lot so driving isn’t so bad. We opted to go as far as Presho, SD. There is a campground right off the highway and is actually open. There are hundreds of campgrounds but most of them are only open from May through September. Not unusual for this part of the country. We arrived at the New Frontier Campground. It is nice and mostly level. During check in we had a chance to sit down and talk with the owners. Very nice folks.
We find our sight and opt not to unhitch as we are relatively level. No water but we still have plenty left, so we just hook up our electric. Tomorrow is our final push.
One really cool thing, at least I thought so, was crossing the Missouri River. I guess I missed the Mississippi River. Still cool though.
