We awoke this morning and packed everything up, after my coffee, of course. We rose early but not to an alarm. Nancy bought a couple of shirts in Savannah to replace some of her Bucket List Tour shirts. She wears them a lot. She found one she really liked at Patriot’s Point but it was a close out and they didn’t have here size. So we drove to Historic Charleston City Market. Traffic was very light. I dropped her off at an intersection and there was a parking lot there. I parked and stayed with the van. She walked the market and found a merchant and bought a couple of shirts from Charleston. While she was shopping I was planning. She had not actually put her toes in the water and butt in the sand. One of her favorite things to do. So I planned our route home via Myrtle Beach.
We found a public beach entrance and were able to park there. She went down to the beach and spent some time on the sand and waded into the ocean a little. She said it was really cold. When she had enough we hopped in the car and I found our favorite restaurant in Myrtle Beach, The Sea Captain’s House. The best hushpuppies anywhere. Wasn’t sure if we could get in for lunch or not but it was worth a try. Low and behold, we got a table by the window so she could see the ocean while we ate. After lunch it was time to head home. Our 4 day adventure came to an end but we did get to travel again. Till next time.
I want to say that our children, Carissa and Phillip, also helped to make this an awesome anniversary adventure. Thank you and we love you!
